The "MAN BusDays" took place for the first time in March, delivering information on the latest bus technologies. The anniversary celebrations for 75 Years of NEOPLAN were also launched at this opening.                             
                                                                           
At the MAN BusDays from March 18 to 20, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge presented its current range of city buses as well as intercity and tourist coaches. The highlights included the Spirit Edition of the NEOPLAN Cityliner designed especially for the anniversary year, the new MAN Lion’s City Hybrid, and innovative gearbox technologies for increased transport efficiency in city buses. Numerous speeches and discussion rounds offered an opportunity for exchanging information and experience. An extensive entertainment programme comprising films, driving and safety training courses as well as a colourful gala night rounded off the event and filled customers and journalists alike with enthusiasm.   
                                                                           

The BusDays united both – the prelude to the 75th anniversary of the NEOPLAN brand and the opening of the new Bus Forum in Munich. The light building with its full glass front and an area totalling over 3,000 square metres houses an exhibition of vehicles, vehicle delivery as well as the Forum for the MAN and NEOPLAN brands. Customers can collect their bus in this exclusive atmosphere. At the same time, the Bus Forum offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the history and significance of the two brands steeped in tradition.

MAN is celebrating the anniversary throughout the year 2010 under the motto "NEOPLAN - 75 YEARS of moving ideas". The programme includes many different events: the presentation of the special model NEOPLAN Cityliner "Spirit75 Edition", international roadshows, several oldtimer meetings and finally the presentation of the new NEOPLAN Skyliner at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show 2010 in Hanover. "NEOPLAN has set standards for decades and will also do so in the future", said the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge CEO Georg Pachta-Reyhofen.

75 years ago the company Gottlob Auwärter Karosseriebau was founded in Stuttgart, from which the NEOPLAN premium bus brand originated in 1953. Then as today, the brand excels through its design leadership, innovative technologies, modern engines and gearboxes, its ultimate safety level, good comfort and customer orientation.
