Its modular design and patented tube-in-tube reinforcement ensures great driving stability. Integrated rollover bars in the front and rear section increase passive safety. The new Cityliner owes its driving stability, superb tracking and excellent manoeuvrability to the perfected Servocomtronic variant of the tried-and-tested hydraulic steering from ZF.

An ESP electronic stability program assists the driver during driving, braking and steering. This standard function recognises dangerous situations and ensures that the driver can keep control of the vehicle even in critical situations.

The assistance systems ACC (adaptive cruise control) and LGS (lane guard system) are available as optional extras, providing an additional level of safety. Further to this, the Cityliner is the second coach from NEOPLAN that offers the innovative cornering light as standard.

The speed control system supplied ex works is coupled with a constant braking system. In this way once the speed has been set the vehicle keeps to it on level ground, on uphill and even on downhill gradients  –thanks to the automatic engagement of the engine brake or retarder.

To permit maximum service friendliness and rapid fault diagnosis NEOMAN has integrated the TEPS® electrics structure. The advantages of TEPS® lie above all in the comprehensive reduction of lines, plug and socket connections and contacts owing to optimised cable laying. This means that the driver himself can quickly locate possible faults.

As an option NEOPLAN offers the electronically controlled damper system CDS (comfort drive suspension) for increased comfort and driving stability.
