Wide doors and steps ensure easy boarding and alighting. Despite the great expanse of the windows the low level of energy transmission ensures that your passengers don’t break out in a sweat. The easy-to-reach luggage racks offer ample stowage space. Side armrests and standard two-point safety belts are integrated in the seat. At each seat passengers can adjust the air conditioning individually with the new roller nozzle system
Two excellent LCD screens and the high-grade Professional II audio-video system from Blaupunkt with a DVD and CD slot guarantee top entertainment. If desired you can even integrate a multi-channel audio system with an individual sound system at each seat. To cater to passengers culinary requirements you have a choice of several modern, highly functional galley models. The spacious on-board toilet can be easily reached over the wide lower step. A water closet can be supplied instead of the standard chemical toilet.
And, of course, for the driver the new Cityliner is easy-driving too. The cockpit is ergonomic and offers top functionality: The superior multi-function steering wheel incorporates numerous control functions. Groupings of switches make it possible for the co-driver to take care of the comfort of his guests while only the driver can access the safety-relevant functions. The design of the new cockpit is drawn from the results of a practical study carried out by the Technical University of Munich combined with the wishes of drivers identified in extensive surveys.
With the second generation of the Common Rail system the engine system of the new Cityliner has the latest EURO 4 technology. All engine variants have an integrated particulate-filter-catalyst system, the so-called MAN PM–KAT® (PM for Particulate Matter). The comfortable gearshift is available either as a six-speed manual gearbox or as a TipMatic version.
